Departing from historic Broken Hill, this exclusive experience combines breathtaking scenic flights, remote desert landscapes, iconic outback landmarks, and the rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges.

Day 1 — Broken Hill • Lake Eyre • Marree • Arkaroola

Your adventure begins in Broken Hill with a 10:00am departure as we take to the skies and head north-west across the spectacular outback landscapes.

Fly over Broken Hill and Lake Frome as we make our way toward Leigh Creek, taking in sweeping aerial views of the rugged Flinders Ranges along the journey.

We stop briefly in Leigh Creek for refuelling and a short break before continuing north past the historic Leigh Creek coal mine and onward to the incredible expanse of Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre.

Experience unforgettable aerial views as we follow the eastern shoreline of Lake Eyre toward the Cooper Creek inlet, witnessing one of Australia’s most remarkable inland landscapes from above.

​

Continuing south, we fly over Lake Eyre South before viewing the famous Marree Man etched into the desert below. 9,400 sq Km in area. 

​

Landing in Marree for a short rest and refuel and lunch, then continue to the spectacular Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary for our overnight stay.

​

Upon arrival, guests can relax and soak in the incredible scenery or choose from optional Arkaroola experiences, including the renowned Ridge Top Canapes package 6pm, Dinner then Outback Astronomy 8pm.

Day 2 — Arkaroola • Wilpena Pound • Broken Hill

After breakfast, we depart Arkaroola and take to the skies once again for a spectacular journey south over the Flinders Ranges.
 

Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of rugged mountain ranges, ancient landscapes, and the magnificent Wilpena Pound — a natural amphitheatre and one of South Australia’s most iconic landmarks.

From here we continue our scenic flight back toward Broken Hill, arriving with unforgettable memories of one of Australia’s greatest outback adventures.

Sunset Canapes Arkaroola Tour

Witness Arkaroola and the Northern Flinders Ranges awash in ever-changing hues of light at one of the best sunset locations in South Australia.

The magnificence of an Arkaroola sunset is difficult to put into words, which is why you need to see it for yourself. Visitors will travel through ancient parts of the wild and rugged Flinders Ranges by 4WD before arriving at a spectacular lookout point, where your very own comfortable lounge chair is set up. Enjoy South Australian wine, beer and canapés along with commentary from your expert local guides, while watching one of nature’s greatest light shows. $150 per person
