The show does an excellent job of telling the stories of the Royal Flying Doctor Service's unsung heroes, and the main cast does an excellent job of bringing those characters to life.
International viewers were particularly taken with the Australian outback, with its breathtaking red dirt landscapes, Aussie pubs, and open mines. Season 2's eight new episodes will be shot in early 2023, once again at one of Australia's oldest RFDS bases, the Broken Hill base. The first episode will take place a year after Eliza has left Broken Hill, and a lot has changed at RFDS South East.
If you're planning a visit to Broken Hill, jump on tour with us or make plans to visit the Broken Hill Outback Experience. Enjoy the interactive museum to learn about the history of the Flying Doctor and its doctors, pilots, and nurses. Flynn's dream is now a vibrant reality. The Broken Hill Base is unique in that it is one of the only operational RFDS bases located at an airport and open to the public on a daily basis. Visitors can tour the base and visit the Mantle of Safety Museum, which features over 80 years of incredible outback history.
RFDS Season 2 will see the return of Rob Collins, Stephen Peacocke, Justine Clarke, and Ash Ricardo. Seven has also confirmed that Emma Hamilton will return for Season 2, implying that Eliza will return to Broken Hill after all.
We'd also like to see her and Pete develop a romantic relationship. We also have a great video about the incredible RFDS cast's REAL-life partners and personal lives, which we'll link to here and in the comments below. WHO is your favorite show character, and why?
