At Overland Adventures, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for people to connect – with Country, with culture, and with one another. This past weekend, we were honoured to partner with Sophia Pearce to deliver the Women’s Retreat 2025 – Nguukarrina Kulyparrana, hosted at the breathtaking Culpra Station.
A Transformative Gathering
The retreat was a truly inspiring experience – bringing together women from across the region to share stories, knowledge, and a sense of community. Sophia’s deep connection to Country and dedication to her studies and PhD shone throughout the weekend. Her ability to share her personal journey alongside the cultural and ecological wisdom of this remarkable place was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Partnership in Action
This retreat was made possible through a partnership of vision and support.
Sophia created a space for women to come together, while Overland Adventures helped bring it to life with comforts and colurful foods – drawing in participants, creating a welcoming camp environment, and providing the creature comforts that ensured every guest could fully immerse themselves in the retreat.
From delicious, plentiful meals (carefully catering to all needs) to warm, comfortable tent setups and a camp kitchen designed for ease, our focus was on making the experience stress-free. Together, we created a space where women could arrive ready to connect, reflect, and grow – without worrying about the details.
A Shared Experience
The retreat was enriched by the incredible women who attended. The stories shared, the connections formed, and the collective energy of women living the change we want to see made this weekend one to remember.
We are deeply grateful to Sophia for her wisdom and vision, to Culpra Station for their hospitality on such special Country, and to the inspiring women who joined us.
